Visit from Gus and Suzy Hermes:
We are looking forward to seeing Gus and Suzy next Sunday, January 29. They will share briefly in Kidzone and also in the morning service. Plan to come at 9 a.m. to the Adult Sunday School class, where Gus and Suzy will have the opportunity to share how God is using them in Athletes in Action, a ministry with Campus Crusade at UC Irvine.
We have a great group of children at Calvary Baptist Church and loving teachers to share God’s Word with them. We encourage our children to learn and grow in His ways, and they have a lot of fun in the process. Our children learn about God in age appropriate ways from games, scriptures, Bible stories, and creative presentations. We want each of our Kids of Calvary to grow up seeking, loving, and serving our Lord on a daily basis.
KidZone meets every Sunday, Upstairs at Sizer Hall 10:20 - 11:30 a.m.
We would love to have you and your family come join us.
If you have any question or requests, please contact the church office, 805-569-0508.
Looking Ahead
January:
Jan. 28: One Prayer
Jan. 29: Sermon Series on 1 Corinthians
Weekly Prayer Emphasis
This Sunday is set aside for churches to focus on the sanctity of human life. Emphasis is given to a broad range of life issues, including abortion, euthanasia, genetic engineering, health care, child abuse, and eldercare. Please pray for organizations such as Network Medical, whose work in our community helps many women with unplanned pregnancies to choose life for their unborn babies.
