AWANA:

Begins September 8; ages 3 years ( as of September) thru 6th grade. This is a time of games, fun, music and learning that focuses on the basic doctrines of Christianity.  Kids work through handbooks and earn awards, but more importantly, they build a storehouse of understanding and knowledge that will prepare them for life.  Every Wednesday night 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Sunday School with Dorothy Johnson:

Our missionary from Lyon, France Dorothy Johnson will be speaking in the Adult Bible Study on Sunday August 22 at 9 am. She will be sharing about how the Lord is working through her ministry with Campus Crusade in France.

Combined Service next Sunday, August 8th:

Both congregations will be joining together next Sunday, August 8, at 10 a.m. for a combined worship service.

Family Camp:

Hume Lake Senior High Camp:

Join the Team:

The Christian Education Commission is seeking teachers and helpers for our Sunday morning Children’s Bible Hour and KidZone classes.  Teachers in our classrooms are ones who love God, His Word and His little children.  They will receive all necessary curriculum materials, resources and supplies, and regular support and training.  We have a wonderful new curriculum (Show Me Jesus) that we will introduce to our learners in June.  Please contact Darla McDavid for more information about how you can be one who nurtures our children in the Word of God.

Prayer Emphasis of the Week:

As we observe Memorial Day and honor those who have died in the service of our country, pray for those currently serving in our military, especially in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Please remember the incredible sacrifice of these grave men and women and their families, who are protecting our way of life here in the United States with their very lives.

Please remember Greg and Laile DeWeese in your prayers as they return home from the mission field in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  Pray that they will make a smooth transition back into life in the United States and that they will be led by the Lord as they move into this next chapter in their lives.  They praise the Lord for providing them with a reliable car.              

Prayer Emphasis of the Week:

Please pray for Life Network, a non-profit organization offering medical services including pregnancy testing.  Pray specifically for a successful Walk for Life this upcoming Saturday at Chase Palm Park.  (Information for this event is available in the foyer or at their website, www.friendsoflifenetwork.com .)
