 Our Vison is to build 4 homes a year for families who are in need. The houses will be built in conjunction with Youth With A Mission – San Diego , Baja’s Homes of Hope project. Youth With A Mission selects families to receive homes based upon extreme need. Most of the families have at least three children and an income of around $80 a week. The homes built are sturdy shelters with three windows, a front door, and a solid foundation. They replace small make-shift shelters made with pallets, odd pieces of wood, plastic tarps and dirt floors. Please Watch Our "Homes Of Hope" Video:Our team will work alongside qualified builders from Youth With A Mission and also along with the family who is receiving the home. Upon completion, we will have a dedication ceremony and present the family with the keys to their new home. Not only are we hoping to build this family a new home, but we also hope to share the love of Jesus Christ with them. Please pray that God will open doors of opportunity for us to not only minister to the family’s physical needs, but also their spiritual needs. We would love for you to consider partnering with us in this ministry. We need to raise around $5,000 to purchase the building materials for each house. We also will be forming teams to go and build throughout the year. Please contact the church office for more information regarding dates of our trips. Lastly, and very importantly, we would love for you to cover us in prayer. Please pray that God would be glorified and His kingdom expanded through this effort. We believe these will be life changing experiences for both the families that receive new homes and also for our building teams. Thank you for your love and support. CBC Youth If you would like to make a donation toward this expanding ministry, Homes of Hope InsightsSince its inception, the Homes of Hope program has impacted thousands of children living in the Baja region as their families have been home recipients. These children have experienced benefits in their health and wellbeing due to improved living conditions; benefits in their family as the stability of a home enables emotional and economic benefits; as well as educationally as they attend school and open more doors for their future productivity as citizens in their communities.In 1997, in recognition of the impact in the city of Tijuana, the Mayor awarded YWAM San Diego/Baja the Civic Merit Award from the City of Tijuana (the highest award given) for service to the community. The success of the program has been a partnership between YWAM San Diego/Baja and numerous groups that participate in order to benefit Mexico. To date more than 400 President’s of companies in the USA & Canada have built with Homes of Hope, among them Disney Corporation, Buena Vista International and Hyatt Hotels. Teams not only come from businesses and companies, but also from church groups, schools, and family teams. For many who participate, the desire to help is a reflection of their faith. All who participate do so to serve the nation of Mexico by sharing what they have with others as they help them better provide for their families. |
